Privacy
Protecting your personal data is particularly important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR 2018, Austrian Data Protection Act 2000). This privacy policy informs you about the key aspects of data processing on our website.
Contacting us
If you contact us using the contact form or by email, we collect your data to handle your enquiry. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
By actively sending your message, you expressly give us permission to do so. Our legitimate interest is to answer your enquiry. Passing your data to third parties is neither our business purpose nor in our interest. Your data will be deleted when no longer necessary for its processing purpose. You may object at any time to the use of your data for contacting you.
Security standards and data loss
Alphacon protects data stored on its servers using current technology. If data is lost despite the highest security requirements, any technical and/or manual weaknesses will be investigated immediately and appropriate countermeasures taken.
Depending on the severity of the loss and the individuals affected, those individuals and the competent data protection authority will be informed.
Cookies
We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website.
Website cookies do not cause damage. They serve various purposes, such as enabling efficient navigation between pages, storing your preferred settings and improving your overall website experience.
If you change the language, font size, contrast or other display settings on our website, we use special cookies for user-interface settings so that you do not have to select your preferences again on your next visit.
These cookies remain on your device until you delete them.
If you do not want cookies to be set automatically, you can configure your browser to inform you or ask you whenever cookies are set, allowing you to decide in each case.
If your browser is configured to reject all cookies, the functionality of many websites, including ours, will be restricted.
Web analytics
We use Google Analytics to analyse website use. Data processing is based on section 96(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act and Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.
Google Analytics also uses cookies for web analytics. Information generated by the cookie about your visit to our website is transmitted to and stored on Google servers in Europe and, in exceptional cases, in the USA.
Our relationship with our web analytics provider, Google Inc., headquartered at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, is based on European Commission adequacy decision C(2016) 4176 concerning the protection provided by the EU–US Privacy Shield and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 information security management certification.
On our behalf, Google Analytics analyses information about your browsing behaviour on our website and evaluates it to compile reports about user activity. The evaluated Google Analytics data is transmitted using SSL encryption.
Google may create pseudonymous usage profiles from processed data. However, we use Google Analytics only with IP anonymisation enabled. As soon as your IP address is recorded, its final bits are deleted to pseudonymise it. The resulting incomplete address permits only approximate localisation and prevents identification of you as an individual or combination with other data held by Google about you.
You can prevent cookie storage through your browser settings. You can also prevent Google from collecting the cookie-generated data relating to your use of the website and from processing that data by downloading and installing the browser add-on at:
Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on
